About Us

This family business originated as a church group in 1967 by Oma Ferchow, grandmother of the current owner William Altman.   William has run the operations since 1986  when he took it over from Oma  due to her poor health.

Lancaster County Quilt Creations has been operated from many locations of the country including Gatlinburg, TN, Branson, MO and many Amish areas of Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.   Our goal  is to produce the finest quality of handmade quilts at the best value.

These quilts are NOT the ‘Made in China’ versions of quilts, mass produced and of marginal quality. Our quilts are heirloom quality, lovingly created, one at a time, by  small groups of artisans. Our quilts are 100% made  in the Americas. Each quilt will vary slightly due to the individual skill of the quilt maker(s) that pieced, hand quilted, appliquéd, and in some cases stuffed your heirloom quilt We guarantee you will appreciate the difference in quality.

This will be the 42nd year in business.
